Tips
If you don’t have heavy cream at home, you can substitute with milk and no need to add water.
Ingredients
- 2 (16 oz.) Valveeta Sticks
- ½ Stick Butter
- 1 ½ cup Heavy Whipped Cream
- ½ cup water
- 1 lb Pepper Jack Cheese
- 1 Tsp Taco Seasoning
- 1 Tomato (Seeded and cubed)
- 1 Jalapeno (finely diced)
With Meat (Optional)
- ½ lb Ground Round
- 1 Medium Onion
- Salt, Pepper, Cumin, Basil
Preparation
- Mix Valveeta, Heavy Cream, Water, and Butter in a heavy pot and simmer over low heat.
- Add Pepper Jack Cheese (1 inch cubes)..
- Simmer over medium-low heat while mixing with a whisk, to avoid sticking to the pan.
- Add Taco Seasoning, after everything has melted together and become silky-smooth dip.
- (Optional) to serve Queso Dip with meat, brown the meat with chopped onions. Spread under the serving dish, and pour Queso over the meat.
- Garnish with chopped tomatoes and jalapenos.
