Queso Dip

Queso Dip

If you don’t have heavy cream at home, you can substitute with milk and no need to add water.


  • 2 (16 oz.) Valveeta Sticks
  • ½ Stick Butter
  • 1 ½ cup Heavy Whipped Cream
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 lb Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 1 Tsp Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Tomato (Seeded and cubed)
  • 1 Jalapeno (finely diced)

With Meat  (Optional)

  • ½ lb Ground Round
  • 1 Medium Onion 
  • Salt, Pepper, Cumin, Basil


  1. Mix Valveeta, Heavy Cream, Water, and Butter in a heavy pot and simmer over low heat. 
  2. Add Pepper Jack Cheese (1 inch cubes).. 
  3. Simmer over medium-low heat while mixing with a whisk, to avoid sticking to the pan.
  4. Add Taco Seasoning, after everything has melted together and become silky-smooth dip.
  5. (Optional) to serve Queso Dip with meat, brown the meat with chopped onions. Spread under the serving dish, and pour Queso over the meat.
  6. Garnish with chopped tomatoes and jalapenos.
